Job summary

Worley Brisbane's Power Networks team is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support grid connection studies and power system modelling across renewable energy projects in Australia.

You'll work with PSCAD, PSS/E, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory, applying analytical skills to deliver accurate studies, reporting, and documentation. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and opportunities to grow technical expertise within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; strong grounding in power systems.
• Experience in power system analysis, network studies or related engineering principles.
• Exposure to power system modelling software (PSCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with power system studies and grid connection activities across renewable energy and conventional generation projects.
• Support the preparation of connection enquiries and applications, technical reports and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and maintain power system models using PSCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and related software tools.
• Contribute to grid connection, commissioning and compliance activities under supervision of senior engineers.
• Assist with data analysis, technical calculations and study assessments for client projects.
• Support the preparation of GPS documentation and associated technical reports.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams.
• Develop understanding of NEM and WEM requirements and related regulatory processes.
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation and project records.
