Job summary

Park Street General Practice in Geelong, VIC, is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of our busy clinic. This part-time role (4–5 days per week) starts January 2027 and is on-site.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience as a General Practice Manager.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff and collaborate with directors.
• Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach to operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day clinic operations to ensure smooth running.
• Manage appointment rules and scheduling for private contractor doctors.
• Review doctor appointment books to prevent errors and gaps.
• Coordinate onboarding and setup of doctor appointments and practice systems.
• Maximise appointment utilisation and patient bookings.
• Supervise recruitment and onboarding of reception staff.
• Oversee billing processes, Medicare claims and invoicing.
• Ensure accreditation, compliance and risk management are maintained.
• Lead regular meetings with doctors, nurses and reception teams.
• Support IT and external suppliers to improve systems and efficiency.
