AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator and system planner. We are leading the National Electricity Market evolution, co-designing the future of our energy system to support a net zero economy by 2050.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer in the Future Energy Systems team, to investigate power system security challenges and develop practical solutions that enable higher renewables integration while guiding system design and operation.

Formación

• A degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• Experience with NEM – National Electricity Market preferred.
• Experience in power system analysis, modelling, planning, operations, or a similar role within the electricity industry.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate on technical studies of power system security and stability.
• Perform and review advanced power system modelling and simulation studies.
• Develop engineering solutions that support the reliable integration of renewable energy technologies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical expertise and influencing industry outcomes.
• Mentor and support developing engineers, helping build technical capability across the team.
• Contribute to the evolution of power system design principles and engineering approaches for the future energy system
