Job summary

DNV Group in Melbourne, Australia is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to support grid connection studies for utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects. You will work with a team of experts to deliver robust power system modelling and client-focused solutions.

You will perform dynamic and steady-state analyses using PSSE, PSCAD and PowerFactory, prepare NSPs Grid Connection applications and detailed technical reports, and engage with project developers, NSPs and AEMO to resolve

Qualifications

Experience in grid connection studies for NEM or similar markets.
Strong power systems modelling capability across dynamic and steady-state analysis.
Ability to liaison with clients and stakeholders to gather information.

Responsibilities

Undertaking grid connection studies and supporting power system modelling team for utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects.
Working with project developers, investors, consultants, NSPs and AEMO to understand project requirements and resolve modelling issues.
Performing power system modelling, dynamic and steady-state analysis using PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory.
Preparing NSPs Grid Connection application documents and technical reports; interfacing with clients and NSPs/AEMO for information gathering.
