Job summary

DNV Group in Melbourne, Australia is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to support grid connection studies for utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects. You will work with a team of experts to deliver robust power system modelling and client-focused solutions.

You will perform dynamic and steady-state analyses using PSSE, PSCAD and PowerFactory, prepare NSPs Grid Connection applications and detailed technical reports, and engage with project developers, NSPs and AEMO to resolve

Qualifications

• Experience in grid connection studies for NEM or similar markets.
• Strong power systems modelling capability across dynamic and steady-state analysis.
• Ability to liaison with clients and stakeholders to gather information.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking grid connection studies and supporting power system modelling team for utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects.
• Working with project developers, investors, consultants, NSPs and AEMO to understand project requirements and resolve modelling issues.
• Performing power system modelling, dynamic and steady-state analysis using PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory.
• Preparing NSPs Grid Connection application documents and technical reports; interfacing with clients and NSPs/AEMO for information gathering.

• Undertaking grid connection studies and supporting power system modelling team for utility scale solar, wind and energy storage projects
• Working closely with project developers, investors, consultants, NSPs and AEMO to understand specific project requirements and resolve any product related modelling or functional issues
• Performing power system modelling, Dynamic and Steady-State Analysis using PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory
• Preparation of NSPs Grid Connection application documents and technical reports, interface with clients and NSPs/AEMO for information gathering and technical discussions.
