Job summary

Sirius People is recruiting a Senior Power Systems Engineer for a premier engineering consultancy in New South Wales. You will lead grid connection studies, power system modelling, and advisory services for large renewable projects across the National Electricity Market.

Work closely with developers, NSPs and AEMO, guiding projects from feasibility to commissioning. You will mentor engineers, manage deliverables and budgets, and contribute to energy-transition initiatives with PSCAD, PSS/E and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical / Power Systems) required.
• Minimum 5 years of dedicated power systems experience.
• CPEng / NER registration or progress towards is highly regarded.
• Strong report writing and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead grid connection studies and power system modelling.
• Provide strategic technical advisory for grid integration and risk mitigation.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and manage project deliverables.
• Interface with AEMO, NSPs and developers to progress connections.
