Job summary

Liberty Industrial in Perth, WA, seeks an experienced Planner to join our Project Controls team. You will develop and maintain complex Primavera P6 schedules, manage baselines and provide insights to support project decisions across Western Australia.

The role focuses on forecasting, risk identification and collaborative delivery with Project Managers and engineers. The ideal candidate will have advanced Primavera P6 skills, strong Excel capability and experience handling multiple concurrent

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a Planner or Project Controls role within major project environments (construction, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, demolition, decommissioning).
• Advanced Primavera P6 capability: schedule development, resource loading, baseline management and critical path analysis.
• Strong project controls: forecasting, progress measurement, S-curves, variance analysis and recovery planning.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects or complex project environments.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence with project performance data.
• Ability to interpret project documentation, scopes of work, construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the confidence to challenge assumptions and identify planning risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate schedule information into practical advice.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across multiple project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Establish and maintain baselines, program timelines and forecasting schedules.
• Perform critical path, schedule variance and trend analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
• Monitor performance against baselines and provide insights to Project Managers.
• Support forecasting, resource planning and optimisation across projects.
• Develop schedule recovery strategies for deviations from plan.
• Prepare project controls reporting: S-curves, progress measures, narratives and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and Commercial teams to reflect execution plans.
