Job summary

McConnell Dowell Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Planner for a marine infrastructure project based in Geraldton, Western Australia. The role involves developing and maintaining robust project schedules, coordinating planning activities, and supporting project controls across engineering, construction and commercial teams.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, extensive scheduling experience, and advanced Primavera P6 skills, with Power BI reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline, ideally with a focus on project planning or management.
• Significant experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or infrastructure industry, with strong knowledge of program logic, critical path analysis and project controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, with experience in resourced schedules, progress measurement, risk management and Power BI reporting.
• Highly regarded: Marine infrastructure experience, along with strong communication skills and the ability to engage, influence and support multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and delivery objectives.
• Coordinate planning, progress measurement, schedule analysis and reporting, identifying risks, critical path impacts and potential delays.
• Support project controls, including earned value analysis, performance metrics and forecasting.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement and commercial teams to identify opportunities and develop practical solutions to scheduling challenges.
• Provide planning guidance and technical support to project teams, contributing to continuous improvement and the development of planning capability.
