Allianz Technology – IT Delivery in Sydney seeks a Senior Performance Test Lead to drive performance testing across complex programs. You will lead strategy, governance and hands-on testing to ensure scalable, reliable applications and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

You will mentor teams, define best practices, and report on progress and risks, aligning with business needs and technical constraints across the Allianz group.

• Experience leading performance testing in large enterprise environments.

About the role

Join Allianz as a Senior Performance Test Lead and play a key role in ensuring the performance, scalability and reliability of business‑critical applications. You will lead performance testing initiatives across complex technology programs, driving testing strategy, execution and continuous improvement while partnering with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality customer and business outcomes.

• Lead the planning, execution and governance of performance testing activities across complex technology programs and projects.
• Define and implement performance testing strategies, frameworks, tools and best practices to ensure scalable and reliable solutions.
• Partner with business, technology and delivery stakeholders to identify performance risks and ensure non‑functional requirements are met.
• Analyse test results, identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations to improve application performance and stability.
• Lead and mentor testing resources, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Drive governance, reporting and stakeholder communications to support successful delivery of high‑quality technology outcomes.

About you

• Demonstrated experience leading performance testing activities within large, complex enterprise environments, including the delivery of performance testing across business‑critical applications.
• Proven experience developing and documenting performance testing strategies, frameworks and approaches, with the ability to articulate testing requirements, risks and recommendations to a broad range of stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and influence decision‑making at all levels.
• Extensive hands‑on experience conducting performance, load, stress and scalability testing, while providing direction and guidance to performance testing teams on test design, execution and best practice.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing tools and technologies, including LoadRunner and other industry‑standard performance testing and monitoring solutions.
• Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery, partnering with technical teams to execute complex testing initiatives and drive performance optimisation outcomes.
