Job summary

Allianz Technology – Sydney is seeking a Delivery Lead for Data to manage major data-focused projects and programs across business units, delivering end-to-end outcomes within scope, time, and budget.

This role requires strong data delivery experience in the insurance sector, proven agile methodology expertise, and robust stakeholder and vendor management skills, with a hands-on approach to balancing strategy and execution.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver effective project management services for major projects and programs of work run within or across business units and assist stakeholders to identify, develop, design, implement and monitor business improvement projects.

Deliver large complex projects and business improvement initiatives in accordance with scope, time, resource and budget constraints.

Develop detailed project plans, tracking and reporting progress and risks to ensure that the project meets agreed timelines and budgets.

Deliver all governance, financial and milestone updates within agreed timelines.

Identify, escalation, manage and resolve project issues, risks and dependencies by working with stakeholders across project teams and the wider business.

Lead the analysis of opportunities including utilisation of tools, data analysis, process analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to influence and inform decision making across the project lifecycle.

Facilitate coordination amongst various stakeholders across business and project teams to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

Manage diverse project teams consisting of delivery partners, internal resources, and vendors located in multiple locations.

About you

Delivery Lead with strong data project delivery experience in the insurance industry.

Experience managing project initiation, working closely with the Business and delivery teams.

Strong Stakeholder Management experience required – Business facing role.

Demonstrated capability delivering projects in an Agile delivery environment.

Strong Vendor Management skills and experience.

Hands-on approach, comfortable taking a big picture view as well as working in the detail.

Able to manage competing demands in a complex environment.
