Job summary

Allianz Sydney is seeking a Claims Performance and Insight Specialist to strengthen financial analysis across Consumer portfolios. You will develop dashboards and reports, interpret data from multiple sources, and deliver actionable insights to support portfolio performance decisions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Claims teams, strong numerical background, and advanced Excel/Power BI skills in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims, insurance, finance, consulting, business intelligence, or operational performance analysis, with exposure to performance reporting and business insights.
• Strong numerical, accounting, and analytical background, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, uncover root causes, and apply commercial thinking to business decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, dashboard development, and performance reporting tools.
• Proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations that drive business performance, support decision-making, and deliver continuous improvement outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and competing priorities.
• A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen financial analysis capabilities and support the Senior Manager, Portfolio Performance.
• Support business performance management across GI Claims, focusing on Motor and Property Claims portfolios.
• Develop and maintain performance reporting frameworks, dashboards, scorecards, and portfolio reporting to monitor key metrics.
• Investigate, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, performance drivers, anomalies, risks, and opportunities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and partner with Claims teams to design, implement, and monitor performance improvement initiatives.
• Deliver actionable insights, recommendations, and high-quality reports and stakeholder updates to support decision-making and portfolio performance.

About the role:

• This is a newly created role designed to strengthen our financial analysis capabilities and provide support to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Performance.
