Job summary

Zoom Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking a Payroll Officer to process end-to-end payroll across multiple awards, EBAs and agreements, ensuring casual and permanent employees are paid accurately and on time. You will interpret awards and agreements and update the payroll system to facilitate automation.

The role requires the ability to provide proactive payroll advice within the payroll team, branches, clients and external workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a payroll officer in a high volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of interpreting Awards, EBAs and Agreements.
• Experience with a casualised workforce and timesheets across multiple Awards/EBAs.
• Proficient with payroll software and advanced Excel capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve pay queries from external workforce, clients and branches.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll for external casual workforce.
• Data entry of timesheets or validation of automated timesheets from rostering systems.
• Process workers compensation payments in line with claims and policies.
• Support external workforce with pay-related questions or concerns.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Adhere to payroll processes and approvals to ensure data quality and accuracy.
