Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a payroll professional for an ongoing contract, based in Sydney CBD with potential to work from home after settling in. The role supports the existing payroll team across Australia and New Zealand and involves collaborating in a team-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include processing fortnightly and monthly payrolls, preparing lodgement reports, reconciling leave balances, handling STP uploads, and interpreting EBAs/Awards.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to join a global retail company on an ongoing contract to provide support to the exisitng payroll team. Along with assisting the every day payroll processing, this role will be across multiple EBA's/Awards and asssiting with payroll queries. The office is located in Sydney CBD and you'll have the opportunity to WFH once settled. The team works very collaboritavely so they are looking for someone that enjoys working in a team and is happy to help when needed.

The responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing: Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls for both Australia and New Zealand
• Reporting & Lodgement: Support the Payroll Manager in preparing and collating monthly superannuation reports for lodgement across all payrolls
• Leave Balances: reconciling employee leave balances and entitlements between two HR/payroll systems
• Assisting with Single Touch Payroll file uploads each pay run
• Interpreting a number of EBAs/Awards

The successful applicant will have:

• 3-5 years payroll experience is ideal
