Job summary

Bayside Council in the Bayside LGA is seeking a Senior Operations Technician – Waste and Cleansing Services to lead a small outdoor crew and manage day-to-day field work. The role involves overseeing operations, coordinating tasks, and sometimes driving medium or heavy rigid vehicles from either the Bexley or Mascot depots.

The position is full-time and permanent with a 9-day fortnight, an RDO, and a weekly rate of 1,463–1,623 AUD including allowances plus 12% super.

Qualifications

• Experience leading small outdoor crews.
• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle licence.
• SafeWork NSW white card (construction induction).

Responsibilities

• Lead small team(s) to deliver services in line with directives and guarantees.
• Plan, organise and deliver works to ensure timely execution of programs.
• Carry out operational work in accordance with WH&S policies and procedures.
• Provide feedback to improve service delivery and safety and risk management.
• Participate in team discussions and share updates regularly.
• Undertake additional tasks as authorised by management.
