Job summary

Cleanaway, Australia’s largest waste management company, is seeking a hands-on Supervisor to manage day-to-day transport operations in South Windsor, NSW. This permanent, full-time role offers a Monday to Friday day shift and a competitive salary with company benefits.

You will drive efficiency, mentor the team and coordinate driver runs while ensuring safety regulations are followed and customer service remains a priority. The role includes reporting on labour efficiency and cost management.

Qualifications

• Experienced supervisor with a transport and logistics background.
• Exposure to safety management systems and NHVR regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational efficiencies within the team and review collection runs.
• Develop and mentor a collaborative, efficient and engaged team.
• Coordinate day-to-day driver runs scheduling.
• Oversee pre-start, post-run and routine maintenance tasks.
• Lead customer service within the collection teams and resolve issues.
• Consult with management on operational targets and NHVR compliance.
• Coordinate incident investigations and ride-alongs.
• Prepare detailed labour and cost management reports.
• Lead performance investigations and outcomes.

Your new role:

• Drive operational efficiencies within the team, continual review and improvement of collection runs and service delivery
• Develop and mentor a collaborative, efficient and engaged team.
• Coordinate the scheduling of the day-to-day operations of driver runs
• Ensure all pre-start, post-run, and minor day-to-day maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment
• Lead a high level of customer service within the collection teams, investigate and resolve service issues
• Consult with line management in the development and management of operational targets
• Enforce and monitor all NHVR regulations
• Coordinate incident investigations and ride alongs
• Manage and prepare detailed reports on labour efficiencies and overall cost management
• Lead performance management investigations and outcomes

Your skills and experience:

• Experienced Supervisor with a transport & logistics background,
• Exposure to and knowledge of comprehensive safety management systems
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation
• Knowledge of the NHV legislation
• A passion for safety and sustainability
