Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking a Senior Operations Technician to lead an outdoor crew across the Bayside Local Government Area. The role involves coordinating day-to-day tasks, ensuring work aligns with council plans and WH&S policies, and driving maintenance programs at depots in Bexley or Mascot.

Ideal candidates will have proven leadership of small teams, a current HR licence, and a SafeWork NSW white card. The position offers a 9-day fortnigh with an RDO and robust employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading small teams.
• Strong communication skills in a leadership role.
• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Vehicle Driver’s Licence required.
• A SafeWork NSW white card (construction induce) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead small teams to deliver services in line with directives and standards.
• Plan, organise and deliver works to meet programs.
• Oversee day-to-day tasks and ensure compliance with WH&S policies.
• Provide feedback to improve service delivery and raise safety concerns.
• Support team discussions and contribute to continuous improvement.
