Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking an Operations Technician for Landscape Services to perform hands-on landscaping and park maintenance across the Bayside LGA. The role offers a fortnightly rostered day off and family-friendly benefits, with training provided to gain skills in plant, tools and equipment used in landscaping and parks maintenance.

Ideal applicants have general schooling to Year 12, a SafeWork NSW white card, a valid driver’s licence and any Chem Use accreditation (or willingness to obtain

• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Current “Chem Use” accreditation OR willingness to obtain during probation period.

Salary from $65,362 to $73,227 plus 12% superannuation

What you will do:

• Assist with landscaping and garden maintenance activities


• Carrying our general park and grounds maintenance


• Clearing litter, debris and green waste


• Operating and maintaining a range of tools, machinery and equipment


• Learning safe and effective working practices on the job

You’ll receive hands‑on training and guidance to build your skills and confidence. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about the plant, tools, and equipment used in landscaping and parks maintenance.

About you

• General schooling to Year 10 or 12 and/or relevant experience


• A SafeWork NSW white card (general construction induction card)


• Current Driver’s License


• Current “Chem Use” accreditation OR willingness to obtain during probation period

Salary & Benefits: $1,253 to $1,403 per week (includes adverse working conditions allowance per week $19.49 pw) plus 12% Superannuation.
