Job summary

Sharp & Carter, in partnership with a well established national business, seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead a high-volume Brisbane south operation. The role is fast-paced, hands-on on-floor, and focuses on safety, service and culture in a large FMCG distribution environment.

You will own day-to-day performance, lead a large diverse workforce and be the visible on-site leader. The position offers strong leadership development and a clear path within a national business.

Qualifications

• Senior operations leadership experience in FMCG, retail, distribution or logistics (≤140 chars)
• Proven track record of leading large frontline teams (≤140 chars)
• Experience leading through other leaders and building team capability (≤140 chars)
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost drivers (≤140 chars)
• Experience in enterprise agreements and managing industrial relations (≤140 chars)
• Confident managing demanding customers and senior stakeholders (≤140 chars)
• Hands-on, energetic style in a busy operating environment (≤140 chars)
• Flexibility to work a shared weekend roster as part of the senior team (≤140 chars)

About the opportunity

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a well established national business to appoint a Senior Operations Manager to lead one of its key operations in Brisbane's south. This is a fast paced FMCG distribution environment supplying a large customer base. Volumes are high, the pace is quick, and the customer relies on the operation getting it right every day. The business is growing, and the operation is entering a period where strong leadership will shape the team and its results for years to come. This role suits a hands on leader who enjoys pace and people, and who does their best work out on the floor. If you've run a large retail store, a busy distribution centre or a high volume FMCG site, you'll be equipped to take on this opportunity.

About the role

Reporting into senior operations leadership, you'll own the day to day performance of the operation and lead a large, diverse workforce. You'll be the visible leader on site, setting the standard for safety, service and culture.
