Sharp & Carter is partnering with a well established national business to appoint a Senior Operations Manager to lead one of its key operations in Brisbane's south. This fast paced FMCG distribution site demands hands-on leadership to ensure safety, service and culture on the floor.

You will coach frontline leaders, drive cost efficiency, manage industrial relations and maintain strong customer partnerships to deliver on-time, in-full results while sustaining a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Senior operations leadership experience in FMCG, retail, distribution or logistics.
• Proven track record of leading large frontline teams.
• Experience leading through other leaders and building team capability.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost drivers.
• Experience working within enterprise agreements and managing industrial relations.
• Confident managing demanding customers and senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on, energetic style and comfort in a busy operational environment.
• Flexibility to work a shared weekend roster as part of the senior team.

About the opportunity

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a well established national business to appoint a Senior Operations Manager to lead one of its key operations in Brisbane's south. This is a fast paced FMCG distribution environment supplying a large customer base. Volumes are high, the pace is quick, and the customer relies on the operation getting it right every day. The business is growing, and the operation is entering a period where strong leadership will shape the team and its results for years to come. This role suits a hands on leader who enjoys pace and people, and who does their best work out on the floor. If you've run a large retail store, a busy distribution centre or a high volume FMCG site, you'll be equipped to take on this opportunity.

About the role

Reporting into senior operations leadership, you'll own the day to day performance of the operation and lead a large, diverse workforce. You'll be the visible leader on site, setting the standard for safety, service and culture.
