Job summary

MedHealth's Senior Occupational Therapist role in the North Canberra region invites an experienced clinician to contribute to a multidisciplinary team and deliver client‑centred care.

You will manage caseloads, perform assessments, set goals, and provide evidence‑based interventions while mentoring graduates and supporting professional development within Ability Action Australia & MedHealth.

Qualifications

  • Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapist beyond graduation
  • Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians

Responsibilities

  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes
  • Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals
  • Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians

Job Description

We’re growing our #AAA team and looking for a SeniorOccupational Therapistbased in the NorthCanberra region. Depending on your location, you’ll have the opportunity towork close to home.

As an experienced clinician, you’ll bring your expertise to a supportive and collaborative environment where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of your participants, contribute to team development, and continue growing professionally.
