Job summary

Latitude IT in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a product-driven engineering team. You will work across backend development, cloud, and DevOps to deliver modern applications and scalable services.

Role focuses on Node.js, TypeScript, AWS and DevOps, spanning design, development and deployment. You will influence architecture, mentoring, and deployment practices within a fast-evolving product program.

Qualifications

Strong commercial software engineering experience.
Experience with React.
Strong API development experience, including REST and/or GraphQL.
Hands-on AWS experience.
Strong DevOps / CI/CD experience.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform.
Experience with Docker and cloud deployment technologies.
Experience designing and working with microservices.
Strong automated testing practices.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications.
An understanding of secure, scalable and resilient software architecture.
Experience with Python would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Join a collaborative engineering team across design, development, deployment and production support.
Strengthen backend and DevOps expertise while contributing to API development and cloud deployments.
Influence technical design, architecture and engineering practices.
Mentor less-experienced engineers and share knowledge.
