Job summary

Latitude IT in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a product-driven engineering team. You will work across backend development, cloud, and DevOps to deliver modern applications and scalable services.

Role focuses on Node.js, TypeScript, AWS and DevOps, spanning design, development and deployment. You will influence architecture, mentoring, and deployment practices within a fast-evolving product program.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience with React.
• Strong API development experience, including REST and/or GraphQL.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong DevOps / CI/CD experience.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform.
• Experience with Docker and cloud deployment technologies.
• Experience designing and working with microservices.
• Strong automated testing practices.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications.
• An understanding of secure, scalable and resilient software architecture.
• Experience with Python would be beneficial.

Are you a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys working across backend engineering, cloud, DevOps, and modern application development?

We’re working with a leading Australian technology organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its product engineering capabilities and is looking for a Senior Engineer to join an established product team.

This is an opportunity to join during an exciting period of engineering change, with a significant product evolution program underway and plenty of scope to influence the technology, architecture and engineering practices moving forward.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a collaborative engineering team working across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment, production support and continuous improvement.

While the team has strong front-end capability, they are looking to strengthen their backend and DevOps expertise.

You’ll become an important technical contributor across:
