Job summary

Latitude IT in Australia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own medium-sized backend initiatives in a hybrid Sydney/Melbourne role. You’ll design and build secure, scalable .NET APIs and integration services, mentoring peers and helping shape engineering standards across the team.

You’ll work on distributed cloud-native architectures, authentication and API platforms, and complex integrations with partners and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with backend integration and secure API platforms.
• Strong background in designing scalable backend services.
• Familiarity with microservices and distributed system patterns.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building scalable backend services using C# and .NET
• Developing secure APIs and integration platforms
• Building authentication and authorisation into customer and partner-facing services
• Delivering event-driven microservices in a cloud-native environment
• Improving platform reliability, scalability and engineering quality
• Collaborating with engineering teams across Australia and internationally
• Mentoring engineers through design reviews and technical coaching
