Job summary

Latitude IT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong Front-End focus to join our fast-growing engineering team in Sydney or Melbourne. You will design, develop, and modernise customer-facing digital products using React.js and modern front-end practices, delivering scalable solutions across the stack.

You will lead technical discussions, mentor juniors, and advocate for best practices, testing, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development tools, while collaborating with product and business

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of front-end architecture and performance optimisations.
• Experience with React.js and modern front-end development.
• Proficiency in C#.NET and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience with SQL Server and Redis.
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with TDD and modern CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools and LLM integrations.

Responsibilities

• Build, modernise and improve customer-facing digital products.
• Design and maintain scalable front-end and related services.
• Lead technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain high engineering standards.
• Address technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
• Champion testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to refine requirements.
