Job summary

Talenza is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead for a Brisbane-based, hybrid role working on greenfield AI initiatives and modern APIs.

You will split time 50/50 between coding and guiding technical direction, shaping architecture and leading key projects across backend services and microservices. Collaboration with multiple teams and a strong emphasis on quality, scalability, and mentorship are central to the role.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Extensive experience with AWS Lambda and SQS.
• Experience with NestJS and event-driven architectures.
• Designing and building APIs and microservices.
• Mentoring developers and leading technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction across key projects while staying hands-on.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams (Booking, Front End, Applications).
• Break down complex problems, make technical decisions and document them.
• Mentor developers and promote best practices in code quality and architecture.
