Job summary

KBR in Australia is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Mission Integration team, based in Canberra or Queensland. You will design, develop and deliver high-quality software for Defence capabilities, working in an Agile environment with continuous improvement and technical excellence across projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in a similar role, strong ASP.Net/C#/JavaScript skills, SQL Server expertise, and a valid NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in a similar role.
• ASP.Net, C#, HTML, JavaScript experience.
• MS SQL Server / T-SQL including stored procedures.
• OOP, unit testing, Azure DevOps and Visual Studio experience.
• Agile/Scrum background; Defence network exposure preferred.
• NV1 Defence Security Clearance or above required.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software in line with standards and processes.
• Contribute to all agile software development sprint events.
• Assist with task decomposition and effort estimation.
• Assist with system testing including performance and unit tests.
• Assist with system documentation.
• Represent KBR professionally and follow policies and security rules.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management.
