KBR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer based in Canberra or Queensland to develop high-quality software for defence-related capabilities. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers and technical specialists across the software lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment, driving technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with ASP.Net, C#, HTML, JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL including Stored Procedures.
• Strong OOP, unit testing and design principles.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.
• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience developing for Defence networks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software in accordance with relevant standards and processes.
• Contribute to all Agile software development sprint events.
• Assist with task decomposition and estimation of work.
• Assist with system testing including performance and unit testing.
• Assist with system documentation.
• Represent KBR professionally and adhere to policies and practices.
