Job summary

Compare Club is seeking a Reverse Mortgage Broker in Melbourne to manage a steady inbound lead flow and guide older clients through the end-to-end lending process with care and compliance. This role emphasises trust, patience, and a consultative approach.

You will educate clients on product suitability, prepare credit proposals, assess documents, and maintain ongoing communication while upholding responsible lending standards in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial services and/or sales.
• Strong understanding of responsible lending principles.
• Experience preparing credit proposals and handling applications end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills (phone + written).
• A patient, consultative approach with older customers.
• High attention to detail and strong compliance mindset.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and digital tools.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking.

Responsibilities

• Manage and convert a steady flow of inbound leads.
• Educate clients on reverse mortgage products and suitability.
• Prepare and submit credit proposals.
• Assess financial documents, including bank statements.
• Identify and manage risks (e.g. vulnerability, elder abuse, gambling).
• Maintain compliance with responsible lending obligations.
• Provide ongoing communication and support throughout the process.
