Job summary
South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. is seeking a Superintendent Processing Services to lead the safe, stable and efficient delivery of processing services across ROM operations, water management, tailings and onsite power services.
The role offers a 4:3 roster with FIFO options from Brisbane or Townsville and DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay Shires, and requires strong leadership, governance and operational excellence in mining or mineral processing environments.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related technical discipline.
- Experience leading mining or mineral processing operations.
- Knowledge of tailings governance and GISTM requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Govern contractor performance, service delivery and commercial obligations.
- Ensure TSF operations comply with GISTM, legislation and site standards.
- Support open cut transition plans, including mine-to-mill integration.
- Drive operational excellence, cost control and continuous improvement.
