Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior MEP Cost Manager in Sydney to lead cost control across major projects. You will analyse cost data, develop detailed budgets, benchmark costs, and drive value through cost saving initiatives.

Your role includes risk management, procurement oversight, and ensuring financial close-out with vendors. We value extensive MEP cost management experience, a strong understanding of MEP systems, and an ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Extensive cost manager experience focused on MEP, ideally from a consultancy background on large, complex projects.
• Understanding of MEP systems and ability to read services drawings and schematics.
• Degree or comparable qualification in construction, quantity surveying, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• RICS chartered or on the path to complete it.
• Strong ownership and accountability, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail oriented and quality focused.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyse cost reports and regularly review with senior management.
• Prepare budgets including detailed cost modelling and benchmarking.
• Manage project costs against budget with cost reviews, VE and savings initiatives.
• Monitor financial close-out on all projects and settlements with vendors.
• Oversee commercial change management and evaluation efforts.
• Oversee RFPs through procurement for project services and products.
• Lead commercial risk management efforts.
• Review analytics for portfolio cash flow and earned value.
