Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Cost Manager specialising in Engineering Services (MEP) to join the Cost and Commercial Management Team in Sydney, Australia. The role focuses on leading cost management across complex infrastructure and hyperscale data centre projects, reporting to the Associate Director, with a strong emphasis on time, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, supported by engineering services-related qualifications.
• Demonstrated consultancy experience in engineering services cost management within infrastructure, data centres, energy systems or complex building projects.
• Experience with MEP cost planning, estimating, procurement, benchmarking and technical risk assessments across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic disciplines.
• Minimum of six years post-qualified experience in a similar role.
• Professional accreditation (RICS and/or AIQS) or commitment to completing this.
• Experience leading cost management services across a variety of MEP-heavy projects.
• Strong commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures (local and international), and ability to assess technical and commercial risk.
• Innovation mindset and exceptional teamwork skills to foster collaboration and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development of Arcadis Cost and Commercial Management (MEP) offering in a client-facing role, through high-quality service delivery.
• Delivering sound and effective commercial management and quantity surveying services, leading by example to achieve company goals and championing a people-first culture.
• Supporting proposals, client briefs, and project execution plans whilst collaborating with project and business stakeholders including engineering partners.
• Delivering commissions within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.
