Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Estimator MEP / Lead Estimator in Melbourne to lead experienced teams, develop robust estimating processes, and drive cost benchmarking for high-tech data centre projects. You will manage external bid analysis and provide expert guidance on cost and change orders.

The role requires 8+ years in estimating within construction, strong MEP knowledge, and excellent communication to build trusted client relationships and support business strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating experience in construction is preferred.
• Experience with MEP systems and data centre projects is a plus.
• Ability to lead an estimating team and drive best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert estimating leadership through the construction stage with project teams and clients.
• Develop and implement robust processes and systems for the estimating team.
• Evaluate initial cost plans to ensure timely project work within agreed timeframes.
• Own the external contractor bid analysis process.
• Develop benchmarking strategies and incorporate data into client estimates.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on estimate deliverables and quality controls.
