Northpoint Eye Care in North Lakes is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist for a full‑time, immediate start. You’ll be the friendly front desk face, handling patient check‑in, bookings and admin tasks while supporting doctors and the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a specialist or medical reception role, preferably ophthalmology.
• Senior reception experience with confidence managing a busy front desk.
• Willingness to upskill in surgical bookings and related admin tasks.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management.
• Familiarity with ophthalmology workflows and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients, manage front desk operations.
• Answer phone and email enquiries warmly and efficiently.
• Book appointments and manage schedules; coordinate referrals.
• Process billing and Medicare rebates; handle daily clinic administration.
• Distribute specialist correspondence and provide general admin support.
• Oversee EFTPOS, stationery, and basic IT troubleshooting.
• Assist with surgical bookings training and execution.
