You will bring a mechanical engineering degree, 10+ years in a similar role, and strong knowledge of HSEQ, design standards, and risk-based approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 10+ years in a similar role.
• Engineers Australia Competency Standards Stage 2 for Professional Engineers.
• Advanced expertise in engineering standards, principles, design methods, and practices.
• Ability to guide teams and mentor entry level engineers.
• Effective communication skills in cross-functional, collaborative teams.
• Current knowledge of all HSEQ obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex design projects in water and wastewater.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Australia to meet client objectives and budgets.
• Carry out complex design work that meets project specifications and standards.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert in hydraulic modelling, pump and valve selections, and piping design.
• Support construction and commissioning teams to ensure project continuity and successful delivery.
• Drive technical strategy, best practices and continuous improvement.
