Job summary

Quickway is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering activities across water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Sydney and regional NSW. You will work with project managers, design consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver complex infrastructure from tender through to commissioning.

The role requires 8–10 years' experience in water infrastructure, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong leadership in D&C/EPC environments.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience delivering water, wastewater or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with water and wastewater pumping stations, treatment plants and large-diameter pipelines.
• Experience working in D&C, EPC or construction delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities across multiple projects.
• Manage mechanical scope during design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate interfaces with clients, design consultants, equipment suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop installation methodologies and construction staging plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and project teams.
• Assist with quality assurance, risk management and defect resolution.
