Job summary

Guidera O’Connor are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own multiple complex design projects and provide technical leadership to the design and engineering teams.

You will mentor entry level engineers, collaborate with stakeholders across Australia, and ensure designs meet project objectives and standards. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years in a similar role are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 10+ years in a similar role.
• Engineers Australia Competency Standards Stage 2 for Professional Engineers.
• Advanced expertise in engineering standards, principles, design methods, and practices.
• Ability to guide teams and mentor entry level engineers.
• Effective communication in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of HSEQ obligations.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple complex design projects and provide technical leadership.
• Mentor entry level engineers and guide project teams.
• Design LV and ELV systems; HV experience is advantageous.
• Create and review engineering drawings, calculations, and documentation.
• Load calculations, fault current analysis, and protection coordination studies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Australia to meet objectives.
• Support construction and commissioning teams to ensure project delivery.
