Job summary

SMEC Brisbane is seeking an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer – Water Infrastructure to lead design and delivery of water infrastructure projects. You will bring a strong background in concept and detailed design, and a passion for expanding expertise while mentoring junior engineers.

You will manage client relationships, contribute to bids, and ensure compliance with Australian standards and project deadlines as part of a global multidisciplinary consultancy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in water infrastructure design across pipe networks, pumps and treatment
• Proficiency with WSA/SEQ code, AWWA codes and relevant Australian standards
• Experience with HAMMER, Water/SewerGEMS, AutoCAD, Strand7 and AutoPIPE

Responsibilities

• Analyze information, produce designs and computations for Water Infrastructure projects
• Contribute to bid preparation and provide technical input across disciplines
• Ensure analysis and design tasks meet client requirements and standards
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver quality, timely outputs
• Support project commercial success and delivery of project deliverables
