Job summary

NES Fircroft seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team, delivering expert mechanical and piping design within an EPCM environment on major capital projects. You will provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure design excellence.

You will contribute to design reviews, mentor junior staff, and drive safe, practical engineering outcomes while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic resources sector

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive senior mechanical engineering experience in an EPCM environment.
• Proven experience delivering mineral processing plant, mining, or major capital projects.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical engineering input for development and review of mechanical and piping deliverables.
• Lead and oversee preparation of high-quality mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Ensure outputs meet project requirements, client expectations, standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Mentor engineering and drafting personnel to maintain technical quality.
• Collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor deliverables, schedules, and technical performance for successful outcomes.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
