Job summary

NES Fircroft seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive design and delivery of bulk materials handling and mineral processing facilities in Western Australia. You will contribute across study, detailed design, and execution phases within a multidisciplinary project team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mining-related mechanical engineering, with strong experience in bulk materials handling and mineral processing plants.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' Mechanical Engineering experience in mining or minerals processing.
• Experience in bulk materials handling equipment and systems.
• Exposure to mineral processing plants and mine infrastructure.
• Experience supporting major resource development projects.
• Coordinate and manage designers within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering expertise across bulk materials handling, mineral processing, and mine infrastructure.
• Support design and engineering of materials handling equipment and related systems.
• Develop and review mechanical designs, specifications, calculations, and documentation.
• Coordinate with designers and other disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Provide input on equipment selection, layouts, and design development.
• Review vendor documentation and support project execution.
• Identify and resolve engineering issues while complying with standards.
• Collaborate with teams to achieve deliverables across study, detailed design, and execution phases.
