Job summary

Visa is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development to drive Australia growth in issuing across consumer and commercial segments. You will identify, originate and convert new opportunities and lead deals end-to-end.

Based in Sydney, you will build market strategies, engage with senior executives, and coordinate across product, legal, risk and regional teams to secure new revenue streams and successful commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in business development, partnerships, payments, fintech or financial services.
• Deep understanding of card issuing and payments ecosystems.
• Experience with emerging growth segments such as digital wealth, crypto or remittance.
• Proven ability to construct, negotiate and execute complex commercial partnerships.
• Strong deal structuring and business case development capabilities.
• Track record navigating stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
• Experience managing opportunities end-to-end from origination to implementation.
• Ability to operate independently and drive opportunities through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Identify and close new issuing opportunities for debit, credit and prepaid.
• Develop market maps and target account strategies across priority growth segments.
• Create and execute market development strategies for digital wealth, crypto, remittance, fintechs.
• Lead opportunities through qualification, governance, approvals, contracting and execution.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders across Product, Finance, Legal, Risk, Client Services and Regional teams.
• Support onboarding, implementation and activation to ensure commercial outcomes.
• Engage confidently with senior stakeholders including founders and C-levels.
• In-office days in Australia will be required as per Hiring Manager.
