Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria seeks a Manager, External Providers to oversee contracted clinical services and ensure high-quality outcomes statewide. You will lead procurement and contract management, develop staff, and strengthen partnerships with providers and key stakeholders.

The role drives strategic service improvements, provides high-level guidance, and supports governance and accountability across external provider arrangements, contributing to safer communities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management.
• Proven ability to lead strategic service delivery and quality improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Experience providing high-level advice on complex operational and business issues.
• Strong commercial acumen with governance and accountability understanding.
• Excellent communication skills including complex reports, briefings and recommendations.
• Highly developed leadership to drive performance and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and contract management for externally delivered clinical services.
• Provide line management and professional development for External Providers staff.
• Build and maintain partnerships with service providers and stakeholders.
• Provide authoritative advice on service delivery, contract management and operational issues.
• Lead strategic projects and service improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and value.
• Monitor performance, reporting and accountability to ensure outcomes and standards met.
