Job summary

Homelessness NSW is seeking a Senior Project Officer – Learning & Development to lead workforce capability initiatives across NSW SHS, managing projects through the full learning cycle. You will work with government, sector bodies and providers to design practical, accessible training aligned with the SHS Workforce Capability Framework.

The role emphasizes data-informed decision making, LMS management, Power BI reporting and strong facilitation to deliver high-quality workforce development

Qualifications

• Experience leading L&D projects through needs analysis, design, delivery, evaluation and improvement.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and workforce development.
• Experience using data, research and consultation to identify capability needs and inform learning priorities.
• Experience with LMS and data reporting, including learner management and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned L&D projects: planning, design, implementation, evaluation and coordination of resources and risks.
• Inform L&D priorities through workforce data, research and stakeholder feedback.
• Design and deliver practical, evidence-informed learning across face-to-face, online, digital and blended formats.
• Design and facilitate workshops, focus groups, Communities of Practice and information sessions.
• Manage learning systems and data: LMS, courses, reporting; maintain dashboards and monthly insights.
• Evaluate learning using data and feedback; translate findings into program improvements.
• Manage providers and partnerships: oversee quality, deliverables and relevance.
• Engage stakeholders: build relationships and communicate insights clearly.
