Job summary

Campbelltown City Council is seeking two Learning & Development Officers to design, facilitate and deliver staff development programs. You will apply adult learning principles, create engaging content and foster an inclusive learning environment to enhance our greatest asset—our people.

Two positions are available on temporary full-time contracts (up to 12 months) with a salary range of AU$103,151.11–AU$111,651.61 plus 12% super; 35 hours per week and flexible work arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in learning and development, human resources, education or related field.
• Demonstrated group learning facilitation experience.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and blended/e-learning.

About the role:

We are looking for two experienced enthusiastic Learning and Development Officers to help us continue to develop our greatest asset, our people through design, facilitation and delivery.

We want to bring out the best in people, so it's your hands on, self-motivation, solution focused thinking and excellent interpersonal skills that will help you to build relationships and manage the staff development program as well as implement contemporary learning initiatives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

• Relevant qualifications in learning and development, human resources, education or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating group learning across a range of audiences.
• Demonstrated experience applying best-practice adult learning techniques.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and blended learning approaches, including e-learning.
• Experience developing training content using a digital authoring tool (e.g. Articulate) or equivalent PowerPoint-based formats.
• Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and create an inclusive learning environment.
