Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education program required if completed after 01/01/2024.
• Pass literacy and numeracy test (LANTITE) for Victorian ITE graduates after 2016.
• Ability to lead school improvement initiatives and monitor impact on learning growth.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive education within a department framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the school strategic plan.
• Lead curriculum planning and delivery improvements across subjects.
• Provide professional development and individual or team development plans for teaching staff.
• Lead staff performance management and professional growth processes.
• Deliver demonstration lessons to model effective practice for staff.
• Develop and implement assessment and reporting policies and practices.
• Oversee policies related to student welfare and discipline.
• Develop curriculum in major learning areas and contribute to broader school curriculum development.
• Handle discipline matters beyond classroom management as needed.
• Contribute to overall school leadership and management and to school council proposals.
• Develop and manage the school code of conduct.
