Job summary

EOS Space Systems Pty Ltd is a laser and electro-optics technology developer and systems integration company focused on space domain awareness systems and observatories, with activities in Australia and overseas. The Senior Laser Scientist or Engineer will perform laser design, assembly, alignment, testing and maintenance, and prepare technical documentation.

The role sits within the R&D team, collaborating with multi-disciplinary groups to advance EOS IP and cutting-edge laser technologies,

Qualifications

Experience with laser subsystems, high energy lasers or similar photonics platforms.
Ability to design and specify laser components and subsystems.
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with development of new laser subsystems for ground-to-space applications.
Handle laser design, component specification, assembly, alignment and optimisation.
Collaborate with electronics, software and mechanical teams to define system requirements.
Contribute to instrumentation of opto-electronic subsystems and EOS IP.
Document investigative experiments and communicate progress to discipline managers.
