Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Facilitator (Custodial) at the Eastwood Campus. The role leads the design, development and delivery of learning programs to build staff capability within the Custodial Training Unit.

You will partner with managers to identify skill gaps, deliver practical training, and mentor staff while ensuring compliance with RTO standards and vocational education regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering learning and assessment programs across organisational divisions.
• Ability to assess staff skills and track progression using diverse tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver practical training programs that help employees build the skills and knowledge the organisation needs.
• Work with managers and staff to understand training needs, identify skill gaps, and recommend learning solutions.
• Support employees during their learning, track progress, and assess skills using different tools and methods.
• Coach and mentor staff, provide feedback, and support professional growth to promote a high-performing workplace.
• Oversee and support employees completing formal qualifications.
• Develop and implement learning plans, policies, and initiatives to ensure training services are effective and high quality.
• Measure training effectiveness, identify risks or issues, and prepare reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure all training activities meet RTO standards and comply with vocational education and training regulations.
