Job summary

Senior Correctional Education Officer within Corrective Services NSW delivers accredited LLND programs across multiple regional centres. You will lead staff, ensure compliance with ASQA/RTO standards, and drive quality learning outcomes in a correctional environment.

Willingness to travel is essential across North, South, Metro and West bases. The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and program governance to support reduced reoffending and community safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or higher with qualifying experience in adult education as approved by the Secretary or delegate
• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor
• Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various centres within preferred region

Responsibilities

• Lead education service delivery by managing staff and resources to support accredited LLND in AVETI General Education programs
• Oversee student assessment and placement processes for suitable training pathways
• Ensure compliance and quality assurance with ASQA and RTO requirements
• Manage staff performance and development plans (PDPs) and trainer profiles
• Coordinate regional workforce planning, including leave management and calendars
• Drive operations and reporting to meet KPIs and regulatory obligations
• Coordinate onboarding of new staff within the region
• Oversee curriculum governance, including review and development of training resources
• Record learner participation and progress and manage student complaints
