Job summary

UNSW IT is seeking a Senior Program Manager - IT to lead delivery of modernised infrastructure across major capital works and refurbishment initiatives. This full-time, 24-month fixed-term role is based in Kensington, Sydney with a hybrid work arrangement and 2–3 days in the office.

You will drive end-to-end programs, manage budgets, engage stakeholders across academic and professional units, and ensure alignment with UNSW Technology’s strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive IT program management experience in large, federated environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior executives and governance bodies.
• Proven ability to forecast budgets and manage large funding streams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and advice around delivery of complex programs; manage scope, budget, risks and issues.
• Lead IT project teams to deliver multiple projects with cost-effectiveness and customer focus.
• Act as single point of contact and escalation for stakeholders and business units.
• Ensure design and delivery decisions align with UNSW Technology’s strategic vision and outcomes.
• Own workstream planning, scheduling, scope, risks, dependencies and delivery performance.
