Job summary

Qantas Group, joining our brand-new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide, is seeking a Senior iOS Developer to deliver and evolve our mobile software, collaborating with cross-functional squads and designers to meet evolving customer expectations.

You will mentor juniors, design robust iOS solutions with MVVM and Swift, and ensure clean, well-structured code. 6+ years in a similar role and proficiency with Xcode, SwiftUI, and CI/CD are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a similar role.
• Good understanding of Object-oriented design and patterns.
• Demonstrable experience building, releasing and supporting multiple iOS apps.
• Exceptional skills in writing readable, clean, and structured code using proper architecture and design patterns.
• Deep knowledge of iOS app development in Swift with UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Animation and Push Notifications.
• Proficiency with Xcode and Instruments for performance tuning and debugging.
• Ability to architect complex iOS solutions, e.g., MVVM.
• CI/CD experience, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Server-driven architectures will be well regarded.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and perform code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and develop the software systems that power our business unit.
• Work with cross-functional squads, UX/UI designers, Technology Lead, Product Owner, Product Specialist and Test Engineers.
• Maintain and continuously improve the mobile application.
• Architect technical framework solutions and guidelines for a large iOS product.
• Mentor junior developers and perform code reviews.

You’llbe working alongside business stakeholders and other developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. You will be architecting technical framework solutions and guidelines to fit in a large iOS product. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

• 6+yearsin a similar role
