Job summary

Auto & General Australia is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to lead and execute end-to-end audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas. You will leverage data analytics to identify risks, develop audit programs, and deliver high-quality workpapers and reports.

The role focuses on strengthening the control environment, supporting risk management, and collaborating with business units to implement corrective actions. Hybrid work options available with a Brisbane base.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Desirable certifications: CA/CPA/CIA/CISA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audits across financial, operational and compliance areas according to the annual plan.
• Utilise data analytics to identify trends and risks.
• Perform audit testing, collect evidence, and prepare high-quality workpapers.
• Prepare clear audit reports with root-cause analysis and business impact.
• Support risk management by assessing compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Communicate audit findings to stakeholders and coordinate corrective actions.
